What do we offer?

Food Service

Each meal brings a wonderful time of fellowship for our guests over healthy and delicious home-style meals prepared daily and served in one of our unique dining facilities. The 1948 rustic Walker Dining Hall seats 250 guests seasonally. The warm, carpeted Stacy Dining Room seats 125 guests year-round. Breakfast is at 8:00am, Lunch at 12:15pm and Dinner at 5:30pm (6:00pm on Fridays). We seek to meet special dietary needs, providing we receive notice in advance.

Challenge Course

We can offer a personalized program for your group depending upon number and ages of participants. We offer a low ropes challenge course with eleven different initiatives. We also provide group activities that foster team and unity bonding, communication, cooperation and problem solving. As a group leader you can work with our staff prior to your retreat to customize the challenge course program that will work best for your group.


Aldersgate has a great sand beach waterfront on Pleasant Lake. We offer a variety of activities including boating with rowboats, canoes, and funyaks, two floating rafts, and the AquaPark. Our waterfront is open typically from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Please consult with our registrar for more information regarding the waterfront.

Games & Activities

Aldersgate has qualified staff prepared to lead your group in an action packed game or activity. We can provide the leadership and equipment to offer an activity as a back up for a rainy day or a night game to take your event to the next level – we have just the experience for your group in mind. We also have game and activity equipment available for group use. Subject to the availability of trained staff and weather permitting for outdoor events.

Sports & Fields

Aldersgate has two sports fields for large group activities and games including a soccer field, archery range, and kickball/softball field. We also have an asphalt basketball court. Sports equipment available includes footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, and frisbees.

Other Recreation Opportunities

Aldersgate boasts many excellent walking trails for hiking and relaxing along with a natural bog where groups can learn and study more about nature! Other options include ping pong, shuffleboard, inside human foosball, and sand volleyball. Our outdoor fireside includes an approximately 200 people amphitheatre-style or a small intimate outdoor chapel that seats approximately 30 people.

Getting married in the Adirondacks is breathtaking! Please contact our registrar today to book your wedding in the Chapel of the Pines, our spacious Fellowship Hall or outdoors on the shore of Pleasant Lake. The Camp Store

The Aldersgate Camp Store is open during retreats and summer camp for you to outfit yourself with your favorite Aldersgate gear. We offer a selection of quality hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other mementos to help you remember your stay.

Brantingham-Greig Reading Center

The Brantingham-Greig Reading Center is currently located in their new home in Greig. The library offers over 2,300 lending items including a variety of books and movies, and provides WiFi internet services to the community. This library is classified as a reading room in the North Country Library System.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club, Inc.

The club maintains 101 miles of trails in Lewis County and 19 miles of trails in Herkimer County. The Brantingham trails are a hub to Tug Hill, Stillwater & Old Forge.

Brantingham Golf Course

The 18-hole course at the Brantingham Golf Club facility features 5,298 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 64.5 and it has a slope rating of 97.
